As usual the season 2009 starts with the Mastenbroek tournament. The staff of this tournament succeeded to get again a strong field of teams together.

From the softball teams there will be a international participation.
With 8 softball teams and 4 baseball teams we will meet a strong tournament.

For baseball we have

Almere (winning the tournament in 2008)

Robur'58 (nr. 3 of the Dutch first division).

Alcmaria Victrix (ended with a fair ranking in the Dutch first division).

Tex Town Tigers (Dutch first division) the home team of this tournament.

They will all play for the Cees van Holstein trofee.

At the other site of the ballpark 8 softballteams will be playing for the Jan van der Molen softball trofee. A lot of champions will participate at the softball tournament.

Driving 900 km to play in Enschede is the Czech Champion Praha Joudrs
(the Czech champion and nr. 5 of the Euro cup 2008)

The Czech-All Stars is second team with the best Czech softball-players The Dutch national top 4 with teams:

nr. 3 Terrasvogels (nr. 6 Euro cup 2008,

nr. 3 Sparks, (nr. 1 Euro cup B)

the solid team of Twins (nr. 4)

home team and champion 2008 of The Netherlands, Tex Town Tigers will put up fight with these international top teams.

The tournament knows during the first weekend of April, its 27 edition. On Saturday the tournament will officially be opened by means of the official team presentation. The first games of the tournament will be played on Friday where two softball-games are organised.

Saturday night, after the tournament diner (this year offered by "…..") the party evening is accompanied with disco-music.

At Sunday afternoon the awards distribution will take place.

TTT-come-back

The board of the Tigers invites again the old 1st team players/players for Saturday 4 April to enjoy a bite and a drink at 12.45 under joy the Mastenbroektournament and the opening ceramonies to attend! At the same time a lot of old memories can be picked up!

Party evening

On Saturday night 5 April such as usual the tournament evening it is filled in with a number of fixed items. The evening starts with the tournament-dinner for all participants, umpires and remaining officials. Then each team provides two players for the homerun-contest. Afterwards music will monopolize the conversation in the partytent. For this evening all Tex Town Tigers and participants are invited.
